I can do upgrading weapons and level with just DECORATE. o_O Selling guns would require ACS though...

Not that I know of. What I have in mind is probabally outside the reach of FS. (I have a rough ACS implementation in my head. Including selling guns and upgrading them. Global Strifescript would also be handy.)

You can use the FSGlobal lump in GZdoom for this - but it's not multi-player friendly. Other than that, Randy has a long term plan for a scripting language able to alter various aspects of the game. This scripting language has been talked about in various forms for years now, so you'll need to be patient. :)

What if there was a lump that was like ACS but ran WITHOUT a level attached. this could be useful if someone, for example, was making a weapon mod that needed ACS. In the Current system they would need to copy in every level of Doom 2 just to do the ACS. This will be illegal and would make a large file. It would also mean that you could not play the weapon mod in YOUER OWN wads. but in the new system which i'm suggesting now (duh), the ACS would just be a lump in the wad and work in any level of any game. This would also mean that if you needed to you could put in ONE script and have it run in every level.

I believe this would be useful and would help a lot of mappers.
