This is possible anyway. Make one key change a bunch of aliases when it's pressed and change em back when it's released, and bind the keys to those aliases.

doublebindings are already possible, the command is "doublebind key action" in the console (~)

Or have two different respawns, load most recent save \ fresh start.

I would apreciate if this was considered before it was passed on as not needed.

IDCLEV or ~map. And if you don't want the map to reset start the game as one man multiplayer (-host 1 for example).

Double taps: Heh, only useful for Unreal-style dodging. Otherwise annoying and useless.

Shift+key: Useless in-game because it would be rather hard to use. Besides, if you've managed to bind all of your keys, you've got a serious problem with resource management :razz:.

There are instances where a feature that will allow one to respawn like in the origional doom(pistol, 100% health, 50 bullets) is very helpful like starting a new level with 2% health and almost no ammo. Especially on a level like, Dis E3M8. So there should be an option to start with a clean slate. should be under controls. for example [shift + space] could do it.

Which leads to- Key bindings:
If it is not already possible:
double keyboard taps
shift + [key ]options.
