Stop confusing things! :D.

I meant 'movement', plain and simple.

by Lexus Alyus » Tue Aug 30, 2005 11:09 am

Oh, you just mean sectors moving virtically? I thought you meant horizontal movement...

Unless you count only the floor (Lift) raising or lowering a "moving sector", then..

Heh.

A lift is *not* a moving sector??? :?: :?:

by Lexus Alyus » Mon Aug 29, 2005 5:21 am

What, polyobjects?

Apart from those I didn't think there was any other form of moving floors...

Yes, this is a good idea :). I'd suggest cloning the current special and creating a new one that behaves in the way that miky desires.

Arrrggghhh!

The same kind of moving sectors any other port has as well! You just can attack a 3DMIDTEX to a moving ceiling/floor.

That'd be something like Eternity's 3DMIDTEX flag without the ability to attach it to a moving sector. Yes, that should be added (and that's the perfect use for the one remaining unused line flag that can be used in an editor.)

The Strife rail flag must work as it is because that's what Strife expects.

Some extension to the blocktype Rail

We all know of the new type of line blocking which is from strife right? But it seems that it is very limited to the height which it uses, so here's my suggestion.

Could the blocktype rail be able to check how high the texture that it is used on, and then change the blocking height of the "rail"? If so, it could then be used on taller and shorter textures. If that can't be done, would there be any other means of ajusting the hight of the rail?
