BTW: this also happens in hexen if you use up all your mana (ammo), after cheating to get all the weapons.

Oh yeah good point, I used "give all" for the weapons, and yeah that looks like it. I guess randy will have to add that as an exception.

Were you cheating to get the weapons?

If so, this green star is the Mauler puff sprite SHT2A0, but because you cheated, you were given all the weapons you have sprites for (kind of) - including the Super Shotgun from Doom2 which uses the same sprite names as the Mauler puff.

when you run out of ammo on a weapon my weapon sprite goes away and i see half a green star on the left part of my screen.. i assume this isn't intentional :P
