I'm quite happy with just ignoring the off topic forum all together, but it would be nice if it didn't show up as un-read all the time.

If a mod is picked it's gonna hafta be someone who isn't going to allow shit to happen. SheezyArt's forums are ruled by trolls because the mods allowed it to happen. Thankfully I don't think that would be nearly as big a problem here, but it bears mentioning- we don't need favorites to get picked.

I've also noticed many urges to spam Off-topic with crap like "I'm eating an orange." for some strange reason. Perhaps it's time I stopped watching anything BUT New Features and Status of ZDoom.

Yep, it's going back to the same shit again. For about a week there everything finally seemed sane...then all at the same time, we get hit with 4-5 garbage threads. This is ridiculous. Off-topic is starting to scare me, especially with that dumb "Pink/cybermenace" thing, which grew to eight pages in three hours.

It may be even worse than it was before, and as long as the same idiotic things keep getting posted there, moderation is becoming more and more mandatory.

Looking at Off-Topic right now shows it being on a path straight to hell again.

I think a major clean-up job is in order - and I mean a serious one! I fear without moderation it will remain a hopeless cause...

Here's an idea: why not start your own forum over at Invisionfree.com and leave your crap there? We'll use the Off-Topic forum for intelligent discussion, and you guys get your ZDoom Story Game without fear of Randy destroying it for you guys again.
