That's a known issue with the game. The font and the pre-made text patches do not use the same color. I had to make my new characters use the same color range as the existing ones.

Sorry, user error. I've loaded it as PWAD instead of IWAD and all characters were rendered as ' i '.

BIGFONT is strangely colored compared to other text though:

Fixed the offsets. As suspected the Latin variant was also affected - altogether there were 4 badly offsetted characters in Doom's small font.

What happens with Harmony? It should at least show everything - the only distinct Ukrainien character is the є, so the rest should be fine as the font system can substitute the equivalent Latin glyphs if the Cyrillic ones are not present. But I am fairly certain I added that є as well when I did the rest.

The 'i' variants should normally all directly map to the equivalent Latin characters and use the same glyphs - I fear the broken ї in the Doom font will be borked there as well then.

I've seen that support has been added for Ukrainian characters and decided to try them out.

CONFONT is fine
BIGFONT is fine
SMALLFONT has problems in Doom and Heretic/Hexen (first two lines), Strife, Chex and Hacx are fine (last three lines).



In Doom ' ї ' is lower than all other characters
In Heretic / Hexen ' є ' is higher than all other characters
Harmony is not supported it seems
