That's not a good idea if you're looking from a standpoint if you're playing a network game.

Unless there's a console command involved to trigger it.

I don't fully understand your request (auto-updating?) but I'm sure that it's not my kind of feature. I'm as paranoid as Graf is - I don't like it when a game that is supposed to be single-player happens to access the internet randomly for reasons I may not be fully aware of.

zdoom downloads the file to the tempoary folder and when you close zdoom the tempoary files move to the zdoom folder

zdoom would be cool if you could update the stuff while you are playing and after playing the files would be installed
