At least it would give me SOMETHING to point to quickly, whenever people keep approaching me about it.

Perhaps, but the next problem is, most people don't read stickies. :?

Perhaps a sticky could be made about this?

The problem is with the devbuild system, currently. Blzut3 is away and cannot update the dependencies so it's stuck with the ones it used since GZDoom 3.0.1.

Here's the proper drop-ins for 64-bit: https://mega.nz/#!pU82HQAR!vz8-o4YgKCdN ... enV5T_1Db0

Simply extract on top of a GZDoom devbuild and everything will work as intended.

I am wearing a headset, yes. Don't have any speakers.

Hm. Out of curiosity, are you wearing your headset at the time you're running GZDoom, or trying to listen through speakers?

When starting up GZDoom 9435a09 for the first time with Ultimate Doom's IWAD the sound format defaults to Fluidsynth, which results in all audio being inaudible except for menu sounds. You can simply switch to a functional sound format such as Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, but it seems odd that it'd default to something nonfunctional as-is. http://i.imgur.com/r8fZjaQ.png
