Same for me, but I haven't found a good way to make Steam/GOG detection opt-in only. I'd also like to disable it by default.

It finds my GOG Strife VE on my D drive (GZDoom is on C). I wish it wouldn't find it, but that's a separate issue.

That means that for you the registry is set up to find the Steam directories.

steam path: D:\GAMES\_STEAM\steamapps\common\Strife

gzdoom path: D:\GAMES\GZ_STRIFE\_____TEST2

This sounds like it isn't getting the Steam paths from the system registry. Is that set up correctly?

I tried installing Doom 2, Heretic, and Strife: Veteran Edition on the D: drive (exact path is [b]D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common[/b]), and GZDoom 4.1.3 ([b]D:\gzdoom-bin-4-1-3-x64[/b]) didn’t discover them at all.

Meanwhile, an accomplice of mine who installed Strife: Veteran Edition on the same drive ([b]D:\GAMES\_STEAM\steamapps\common\Strife[/b]) and placed a fresh version of GZDoom in the folder [b]D:\GAMES\GZ_STRIFE\_____TEST2[/b] had everything working, and both the original IWAD and the Veteran Edition IWAD popped up without problems.

What seems to be the issue here?
