Sorry for the long delay of my response, I've got some real life stuff to take care of and didn't had a chance to test this again, I tried to compile a debug build of GZDoom and reproduce the crash, it turns out, the problem is a setting from the INI file, if I turn the Screen Wipe Style to "Burn", the game crashes when it is supposed to make a screen transition, I also see another crash with that setting reported in other thread, so it's related.
Sadly, I'm unable to produce a crashlog for this one, the engine simply closes and doesn't show any dialogs for the crashlog.
EDIT: After trying again, I've got the following error from a GPU crash "0x00007ff68c479218 Failed to submit command buffer", hope that gives a bit more information about the error, thank you!
