screen tearing in gzdoom 4.1.3 win 10

Contrary to popular belief, we are not all-knowing-all-seeing magical beings!

If you want help you're going to have to provide lots of info. Like what is your hardware, what is your operating system, what version of GZDoom/LZDoom/whatever you're using, what mods you're loading, how you're loading it, what you've already tried for fixing the problem, and anything else that is even remotely relevant to the problem.

We can't magically figure out what it is if you're going to be vague, and if we feel like you're just wasting our time with guessing games we will act like that's what you're really doing and won't help you.

GZDoom 4.7.1. Vulcan. Had a lot of tearing. Turning on VSync in settings seemed to have done nothing, but forcing VSync via NVIDIA control panel helped.

Considering he just randomly bumped the discussion without giving any indication of what his hardware was, I think I did pretty well. If you're going to give "tips", be aware of the context within which you're giving it... just a tip.

thanks,il give that a try.
Cheers.

If not, you told us nothing about your system so we can't figure out what's wrong.

I just recently updated to the latest official gzdoom build and suddenly I am getting screen tearing when I never had the problem before. Previously I think I was using a development build of 3.9 (around that number I think) and never had screen tearing problems and I kept vsync off. Now regardless of vsync settings, I am getting bad screen tearing. I wonder what changed in the update to cause this. I'll try playing around with some settings and see if I can discover anything.
