Tell him to update it to 1.9.

Go to: http://www.doomworld.com/classicdoom/info/patches.php

And if you have Doom95, get rid of it.

I just started using doom connector. Tis very impressive. Problem is I can't find anybody to play with and for some reason my friend cannot join to games that I create. A problem with his doom2.wad but we can't use any other IWAD.

Anybody care to help?
