A shame really, I loved his episodes. Very good to revisit those old Wolfenstein days. May he have good luck to the path he's heading. I'll miss more WolfenDoom episodes.

Same here. The unmade episodes intrigued me. And just the whole storyline aspect as well.

Indeed. I always hoped that Operation Rheingold would be expanded beyond the first 6 levels...

Okay, thanks. I'll check over there and see what's up and such.

Alright, I've added you to the usergroup at DRD Team.

Hrm, I suppose I might be able to help you out with scripting, depending on what you want done.

Another Thing I added, is that they now sometimes throw grenades which cause small amounts of damage and added the Notarget flag to them to stop infighting.
That just sounds kewl. :D

Yeah, you're doing good. These guys are cool.

These are just a few modifications which I think add a bit of realism to the enimies, any suggestions would be helpful. Am I on the right track here?

Well that's easy enough. :)

Actually I had ben to FindSounds earlier looking for a sound, I didn't like the ones I saw but I managed to find a moderately good one I overlooked. Sounds just a tad echoed but otherwise it sounded cut-off. Also fires now about the speed of the chaingun, perhaps just a tad faster.

And sorry for taking so long, but my fracking internet connection went down. ARGH.

Thompson V1.1

In terms of general weaponry:
It needs a better firing sound - look at findsounds.com and you'll find a few good ones.
It needs a faster fire rate. Keep in mind the Thompson wasn't a heavy machine gun.
And you don't have to do the reloading if you don't want to - We'd probably end up having to scrap it anyway, to adapt it for the ACS reloading system.

by ace » Sun Dec 04, 2005 4:45 pm

Well I did say it wasn't that great, heh.

I suppose I could fix it up and actually do something with the reloading, but meh, you don't have to use it. Like I said I was bored. ;)

EDIT:
Though, considering this is my first serious attempt at a DECORATE weapon, and in case I get bored again (heh), could you tell me where it could use improvement (besides obviously the reloading)? I need practice on this anyway.

by wildweasel » Sun Dec 04, 2005 4:32 pm

I'm not entirely sure that we can use this without major tweaks...but it's a good effort.

by ace » Sun Dec 04, 2005 4:19 pm

Bah. I got bored and thought "What the hey," and made the thompson. I dunno if someone's already made one, and if they have it's probably a million times better, but like I said I was bored. I probably don't have the time to become an official DECORATor for this but anyway...

The thompson

Includes the DECORATE, KEYCONF, DECALDEF, and a firing sound. Yeah, I know, the reload (bound to AltFire) awakens monsters and is functionless except for the animation, and the sound is crappy. I would have taken more time to work out the reloading but laziness got the best of me, and since I am a slow worker and prone to make stupid mistakes that take half an hour to find out along with hour-long tweakings, it took all day and I didn't feel the need to figure out the reloading. As for the poor shooting sound and lack of reloading, you can blame my poor search skills for that. Heh. :p
