Okay, I stand corrected. I was actually wrong in my other post; the image is NOT correct in the fullscreen console. You are right that console has always stretched to fit and indeed that also looks incorrect (the image is now too narrow) but you are right about it not being a good idea to change the console.
However, that's not what's being reported here. Have you seen my next post? The one with the image flipping between 4:3 and 16:9. The scale actually changes. I thought the scale shouldn't change. It indeed looks too fat in 16:9.
I assumed that the image will remain in the same scale, gradually revealing hidden pixels as the window size increases.
