This can already be done with ZScript. Additionally, for all intents and purposes this would be considered a cheat, especially for multiplayer, and that could cause us problems administratively in the future.

Create the mod using ZScript - that's the best you're getting out of this. If you need help, there are areas in the forum for that but don't ask for it in this thread.

To be completely honest, the game/port is so good that i don't mind paying for it on mobile, and i feel a bit ashamed to use it for free on pc.

The autofire idea was my own, that's why I would like to give it a try. I have no relation to the dev, I only reached out to him few times before to give some suggestions.

On the other hand, just me thinking out loud, but it does make sense for handicapped people, for PC. I don't know how many there are out there playing Doom. I am aware of one blind player that uses sound for all the cues, but he has working hands so he can pull the trigger himself. With some kind of headtracking/eyetracking - not only in vr - it would be possible to make doom playable with your sight, and perhaps two pedals?

Control schemes are nearly unlimited for such a 'simple' game as Doom. Probably just not worth your time to implement.

I just got a reply from the author of Delta Touch:
"Interesting idea. I think however this would be best implemented as a 'mod' for gzdoom somehow. I've not done any modding with I think it might be possible with some simple scripting."

As a developer, is this something we could possibly do with zscripting? I'm not aware of any mod out there that has autofire on monsters.

The ask the maintainer of the mobile version for it. Like you said, on PCs it makes no sense.

I would like to suggest autofire to gzDoom build
It's not really meant for PC gaming, as there isn't a problem with aiming/firing when playing with mouse/keboard or controller, but this would come very handy on mobile version. Together with gyroscope aiming, autofire would allow playeres to basically play with one hand, using thumb for movements, and their phone to aim around.

I have already suggested it to the developer of Delta Touch, but maybe that's something that could be easily added as a toggle to the main branch, so that later it can be applied to all mobile versions?
