I think the player-colored strips/stripes would add an extra level of customization for players if mods support it. Gives a further reason why players should choose their color even though they don't play Multiplayer.

YES. This x10. This would be perfect for leg sprites for kicking, fake full-body-awareness (look down, see leg sprites moving as you walk), player-colored strips on weapons or muzzle flashes for player-colored projectile attacks... etc.

I think it'd be nice to make it possible to apply any arbitrary translation to a PSprite too, as there's other uses for translations in weapon sprites.

I am thinking of two flags:
1. PSPF_USEPLAYERTRANSLATION (Overlay flag)
2. WEAPON.USEPLAYERTRANSLATION (Weapon actor flag)

This would really be nice especially for multiplayer mods.

It would allow for the weapons to have different colors depending on what colors the player is using and would be helpful for stuff like the first-person sprites like leg colors, weapon colors etc.
