I hoped GZDoom can play this NES/TurbuGrafx/Gameboy/Spectrum stuff if it's in .vgm instead of .hes/.nsf/.gbs because it uses GameMusicEmu which can play it.

@Gez, i know what this chip is, but wildweasel says that only Sega Mega is currently supported. So does GZDoom support .vgms for this YM2413?

My informed guess would be that it's about emulating a Yamaha YM2413. Just a hypothesis.

Meanwhile there is "libraries/game-music-emu/gme/Ym2413_Emu.cpp" file in GZDoom repo. What is it for?

The VGM player hasn't been updated in a long while to my knowledge; last i heard, you could only load Genesis music with it (YM2612).

https://vgmrips.net has a lot of good .vgm files for different systems and chips. Which of them can GZDoom play?
