The source code and linux version of ZDoom 1.19 are up now.

The Linux version requires Hermes if you want to use it under X. It does not support joystick, because I could not get my kernel to recognize my joystick. It also lacks support for MUS/MIDI music (but MODs do work). Once the ALSA drivers I use support the sythesizer device, I plan to come back and implement full music support.

The game will use X if possible, otherwise it will use svgalib. Fullscreen is supported under X if you use a server with the DGA extension. For best performance under X, play it fullscreen on an 8-bit display. It might also be a good idea to add some low resolution modelines to your XF86Config file if you don't have anything smaller than 640x480 in it, although that isn't necessary.

The network code is the same as in the Windows version, so it should be possible for a Linux machine and a Windows machine to play in a network game together, although I haven't tested this.
