ZDoom Tutorials.

Post by Galaxy_Stranger »

I've gotten a hold of a nifty video presentation program called Camtasia. I thought it might be cool to make some video tutorial snippits. I also thought I'd post there to create a list of things to tutorize.

What do you think I should start with?

You mean like something that records everything your monitor shows? I WANTY PROGRAM, I WANTY PROGRAM!

How about recording, um..., uh...., how to make a simple map? Try to do it with all of the editors you have (and know how to use).

If you've got an ftp server, I can upload it to you. Currently, I have no 24/7 computer.

-:[EDIT]:-
I should mention that the frames per second aren't whiz-bang, but it's perfect for showing software and other things. Recording things like windowed games is just way too slow.

Has anyone been able to record in-game? I only got a frame a second. (Camtasia) Will CamStudio do this?

Here's how I do in-game:
I crank-down the resolution and have camtasia only record the space that the game takes up Windowed.

I can't get it to record in-game sound. I guess you'd have to run a patch cord from the Speaker or line out to the mic to get it to work.

Camtasia is alot more chunky but it has alot more features. Camstudio is smaller and easier but I already have camtasia now (yeah, illegaly of course) so there's no point me using camstudio

From what I remember between the two, which I haven't used in almost a few months, is that Camtasia had a lot more editing features and recording options compared to Camstudio.
