I'm with Sam, take your time. There's no rushing anything here.

BTW, I know it seems a bit early to ask this, but do you have any plans to make intermission maps for Final Doom?

I have to ask, will you ever finish this project or is it dead as dead can be?

If there haven't been any updates in a long while, you're best off sending a PM/email to the author. Bumping the thread like this confuses all the other regulars into thinking there's been an update, and the OP may not even be watching the thread if he hasn't been around for a while.

Okay, here we go, prepare for immediate disappointment guys... *sigh*

THIS PROJECT IS PERMANENTLY CANNED UNLESS SOMEONE WANTS TO TAKE OVER FOR ME

I just no longer have time or drive to work on it anymore. I haven't touched anything Doom related or even artistic since I got this new job. When I do end up with free time, I'm just... bleh. I've tried, but I'm calling it quits now.

Sorry guys. If anyone wants to take over, let me know and I'll send you the Spaceport level maps. But unless someone finishes the rest of the artwork? It's toast.

Post up what you have. It's more likely that some kind soul will take things up if the resources are public-ish.

Post the resources so someone else can take up the job on it so this doesn't fade away into obscurity.

Very awesome work Skunk!
The damage animation as you go through the levels is pretty neat as well!
Now if we could fix it up so there's a small explosion and sound on botton click, right before the "you are here" is displayed. :D
Great stuff! ;)

Well, honestly? It might be possible. There is a lot of code related to what level you're leaving and which you're entering. Look at this and check out the ones I made for TFC and Xaser's Lost Episode to get an idea of how to program some of this stuff and how the artwork works. Then just experiment with it. Personally with mods like Beautiful Doom out there I would love to see this finished finally. I just truly can not be arsed anymore. I tried, interpics are really contrived to work on. You notice I'm the only person who made them... :P

Yeah there's not lots of Doom exclusive interpics out there, especially model renders heh, and then animation additions to them. ;)
Good call, Really good stuff man! :)
Perhaps someone will finish some things with it, but how it is thus far is pretty good stuff. ;)

Thanks!

Didn't like the way Maps 9 and 10 were positioned, so I switched them around and boosted the height of the lower one. I changed it because the position of MAP10 clashed with the order of earlier levels (it's positioned between MAP04 and MAP05), and I didn't like how MAP09 looked like it came after MAP10 given the position that the levels were moving on the map. (I hope that makes sense, cause it's a bit difficult to describe without actually seeing all of the blood spots on the map.)

Other than that, I'm totally fine with this map screen, it's awesome. :)

That wasn't a mistake, it was purely intentional. The idea was you're dropping to an area behind 4 and 5 which will lead to the exit of the spaceport and escape into the city. I guess it didn't make sense.

I was sitting in my truck listening to a podcast when I remembered this project and wanted to see how it was coming along. That said, it doesn't look like much progress was made... however, looks like DTWID from the Cacos also got has custom interpics, so I kinda want to work on this again.
