Here's my advice: try separating the drum into its own image, so as to make for smoother reload animations via Textures.

That's what I plan on doing, actually - the drum and the power core (that will go into the 'empty space' near the bottom) are gonna be separately animated.

What's a good Player.Viewheight for a 64x128 door texture in a Doom map? Assuming the player is your typical average American adult.

(all of the door textures from e.g Duke3D or Blood are 64x128)

EDIT: assume that the 3-d view is drawn with 1:1 pixels (I don't have the vertical sctretching issue in my game)

91, assuming that 128 units = 8 feet, the player is 6 feet tall, and his eye level is 4 inches below the top of his head.
