Sky is slightly off

Postby Sodaholic » Sun Feb 20, 2011 2:20 pm

I'd assume this is due to scaling inaccuracies, but especially noticeable in higher resolutions is an annoying strip of pixels where the sky loops too soon:

That bright blue strip at the horizon should not be there, it is the top of a 200 tall sky texture.

Revision 3133. 1920x1200, forced 4x3. (I use a crt, if you're wondering why I'd use forced 4x3 ratio on that res)

Well, what can we do here. Sodaholic is gone for good, this doesn't happen with any sky texture I tried it with and there's no WAD attached. So there's nothing to test and nothing to reproduce it with. Off it goes...

I don't think so, it would be a pretty lousy ban system.

Depends on how his IP works. Or if he can use a proxy. Circumventing an IP ban is not that hard.

Except that you only get to post on a few of the forums anonymously.

Due to the sheer number of different IP addresses he used, an IP ban is difficult to maintain.
