Yes, I know that. I know that because when I first heard them in the show, I had to triple-check that from various sources, because I really, really thought they were guys. And apparently, I'm not alone, this is just one example:

I agree with that. I don't understand why everybody always implies they must be lesbians. If anything, they would be transgenders, not lesbians. That said, I
still find it very odd that the show's authors decided to include females acting like males 80% of the time, instead of "true" male characters. Again, I sure as hell am not alone. Oh well, one can't understand everything.
