Chaingun is most likely faster/more damaging.

Will there be animated map intermission screens when transitioning between levels to show where you are on the hub?

There's already a 100% fully working intermission screen, but I'm using the Alpha 0.5 worldmap as background.
When you finish a level "correctly" (that is, when you reach the correct exit of it), it shows the percentages like in the video. When, on the other hand, you reach an alternative exit or go to a previous level (or finish an already "finished" level), the intermission shows "Exiting [level] (you where here), Entering [another level] (you are here)" type of intermission. In any case, if you reach the exit, and the second intermission is shown, it is the game's way to say "hey, there's something else you missed".

Very interesting stuff, but I got some things I'd like to mention:

1.There is a door early on in the level that requires demonic DNA to enter. That seems a little off as logically you could just rip of some imp flesh and use that. But I figured it's talking about a specific type of DNA, isn't it?

2.The Rocket Launcher reload sound (from Doom 3) is much better than the previous Quake one. Just thought I'd bring that up.

3.What is the exact purpose of the blue colored meter on the Status Bar?

So wait, if there's an energy shield, what about normal armor? Is that the green bar? Does that mean both armor and shield together give you a higher resistance to damage? Or is the shield more like the original Doom power-ups and only last a limited time?
