Zdoom is Badass in Default Graphics Compatibility for XP

Before, I didn't know how much Zdoom rules in the Doom source port contest. Now I know by how much it rules with basic software compatibility. What I am saying is that Zdoom visuals runs perfectly w/o the assistance of display adapters. When I tried GZdoom w/o the display adapters, I get epileptic colors that try to give me a seizure.

The reason why I go to default graphics setting is b/c I screwed around w/ my laptop w/ a different OS (some time ago) and its graphic software starts crashing last night when I try to use any graphic-extensive application (the web browser) for a set amount of time. I guess compatibility issues in graphics is still a force to reckon with  . Ended up w/ removing the graphic driver utility (causes annoying popup) and scrolling over dunes of lag, but at least I don't have to worry about graphic issues for now.
The basic graphic settings are based on the operating system software. The choice of default screen resolutions is another story; at least I know that the 800x600 should be the standard screen resolution for most monitor screens.

The default graphics compatibility in Windows 2000 is disputed for me b/c my laptop + OS won't run zdoom w/o the graphics driver, but my desktop + OS can run zdoom (w/ the graphics driver [installation]). I assume that Windows 2000 need some graphics driver installation in order to run either GZdoom/Zdoom.

Just to point out: There's no "Doom source port contest" except in certain users' minds. You use what works for you.

(Unless it manages to be consistently buggier than the original port, in which case... "lol" is appropriate.)

I almost forgot to type that once the display adapter driver is uninstalled/removed, the standby/hiberation states are disabled? Maybe I should just disable the driver, but I doubt that a disabled driver will still allow standby/hiberation states to be used. Should I even try taking the time for the display adapter? Nah!

Also, remember to update the OS in case of some software/hardware conflict afterwards. There might be also some incompatiblity of current graphic-based applications.
