Grouping Textures in Editing Programs

Postby Neccronixis » Thu Feb 09, 2012 6:36 pm

Hi all. I've basically taken a whole bunch of textures from realm667 and merged them all into a single pwad for use in doom builder, (approx 1500 textures) but because i've got so many, it can get strenuous to get the one that I need. They are all custom zdoom PNG textures but my question is, is there any way that I can rename the textures to ANYTHING that I like and have them appear in that texture name category in Doom Builder 2?
(For example all the black textures can be named black1, black2 etc and I can group them under the "Black" texture category in doom builder 2)

Thanks

You can customize texture groups in DB2 by using Tools > Game Configurations > Textures.

But don't the textures need to have specific names to belong into those groups? I want to be able to name the textures to anything i want and then put them in a group. Is this even possible?

Select a category, click edit, then be enlightened. :P
The names of the textures are mostly irrelevant.

Ahh now i see more clearly :D I was looking for a quick way to do it, because I have all my textures grouped in 20 different folders already.
