It looks like AEoD. :/ Lots of resources that don't mesh together very well at all. Super amazing looking smoke and explosion effects and weapons with totally different art styles from gun-to-gun (also addressing model rips, on that subject). It looks entertaining, but none of the resources really go with each other.

I'm also personally not really a fan of using modern weapons and stuff like that in Heretic, but it's awesome that other people that do enjoy it can do so with little hassle. I don't recall seeing such a feature very often in other mods of this type.

One last note:Image Did you happen to get this from RTC-3057? I believe said mod does not allow reuse of any of its assets. It might be good to replace these sprites with other substitutes if that is indeed the case.

What
everything in this is an explosion thrower
except maybe some melee weapons and the energy ones.

Except this one is literally an explosion-thrower. It's like a flamethrower but with a stream of explosions instead of flames.

I have absolutely no idea how this thing works.

And I don't want to know.

Magban724 posted video "Russian Overkill - Reinforcements From Moldova"

 HAHR HAHR! This is probably the best combination of DOOM video and music I've ever seen... :D

And who knows - considering this kind of pace, one day or another you might implement that Gothic-Cathedral-Launcher I've once dreamt about...

Considering that RTC-3057's status is abandoned, plenty of other mods utilize multiple assets from RTC-3057. That, and Team Future (the team that worked on RTC-3057) hasn't paid much (if any) attention to it, much less asked people to stop using assets from RTC-3057, given their current project Doom 3: Phobos, which as it stands, looks and sounds VERY time-consuming to make, as if they were remaking Doom 3 from scratch. So no, this mod isn't the only one to "steal" resources from RTC-3057.

RTC-3057's text file does still state that usage of its resources in other wad files is forbidden, meaning that if this ever got uploaded to /idgames, someone would reject it.

Like that actually matters? If everyone else was jumping off a bridge, would you, too? Sorry, I'm not going to use things I have no permission for regardless of the state of the mod or the people behind it.

RTC-3057's status makes think it may be worth asking Shaviro for permission to use the sprites. I don't figure it's be too much of a long shot, but 'tis up to him.

Cool, I guess that makes it okay then!

It's not like there are plenty of freely available resources you could use instead. There's really just no way around basing your project on someone else's work that they didn't want to be reused. Yup.

I don't think just because lots of other people are using it, that means that makes it okay to re-use. Lots of people re-use Cory Whittle's stuff, despite him repeatedly asking not to--that doesn't make it okay, just means that a lot of people are doing not-okay stuff.

EDIT: Whoops. Didn't realize this was already responded to thrice. Sorry.

What about to drop a mail about it to Team Future? Times changed, they are making Phobos and RTC-3057 is pretty much abandoned so maybe they will change mind.

Hmm, okay, I guess I should explain myself. Well, I got these sprites from a friend who told me he got them from some skulltag mod.
But since I had no idea from where it was, so I asked another one if he knew from where it is... too bad he didn't told me that it's not allowed to use resources from it.
Well, it sounds like a sorry excuse, ugh. My appologies, and I took down downloads until I somehow get some replacement or permission.
