The only difference bettween test271.wad and test271_2.wad is: test271_2 does not have hires analogue for SCOMP1.

test271.wad in zdoom:

Both wads look correctly with gzdoom/prboom-plus/glboom-plus

P.S. Eternal finished his mbf wad, but looks like it is not compatible with zdoom/gzdoom, because of
1. Issues with textures in zdoom
2. Issues with spawn cubes in both zdoom and gzdoom.

On the high res textures thing, wasn't there a very similar looking bug reported fairly recently? I remember a screenshot of an African/Arab sort of setting with a messed up texture on the door that looked very much like the fireplace in this bug report. I can't find the report ATM though.

That line looks somewhat familiar, maybe also a po2 problem.

I would say this is the power-of-2 problem, except those code changes aren't applicable here, since the texture doesn't tile. At any rate, it's working now, whenever it got fixed.

Nonetheless, if you load the test wad again, then type r_np2 0 in the console, you'll see the glitch return.
