The WIP Thread
Re: WHAT THE HELL are you working on (WIP THREAD not gossip)
My game for my university final year module. Needs a fair bit of work still, but that's the most solid its looked so far.
If you want to have any idea whats going on, the description has a key which explains what all the programmer art is meant to represent. I'll break out some incredibly newbie modelling skills to make the models a touch more indicative at some point, once I've done half of the rest of my to-do list for the game (also in the description).

Impressive. It's the Taser weapon from the TC HacX. Despite it being a taser it resembles a futuristic shotgun more than anything. I'd completely forgotten about Xaser's HacX project, I better check it out soon.
Also funny game Phobus, especially the fish. At least it looks a lot better than my museum created in Blender (that program has such a confusing interface

If and when I get round to using 3DS Max to make some more helpful enemy models we'll see how bad things can be
I'm going to cheat and keep it all very abstract though.

Oh, Goddamnit, I've been on these boards too long. The first thing I thought of when seeing those two words in a sentence is one of Xasers songs.Blender
On topic,
Looking pretty good, though it needs more white areas to match the original instead of all grey.Cage wrote:HacX Taser redux

I'm working on making Second Life alert me when someone chats something in local. Why this isn't a standard viewer thing yet and why I have to use a hacky script when someone does is beyond me...

As far as I'm aware Ogre doesn't have a way to make a material tile rather than stretch - which is odd, as I'd have figured that'd have been a pretty standard thing for planes and the like. Anybody fancies telling me otherwise I'd love to hear it, but I think they expect the materials to be tailored for the models!Nash wrote:Man those are some really stretched UVs on the walls there Phobus XD

In this next song I'm going to attempt to sing. Unfortunately, I can't sing, and therefore it's probably going to sound like crap. Oh well, here it comes anyway.TheDarkArchon wrote:CaptainToenail wrote: fish.Oh, Goddamnit, I've been on these boards too long. Fixed up DUEL03 of the Chex Skulltag Pack, mostly detail changes and tweaking weapon/player spawns

I was going to add surrounding terrain, but that would mean about a hundred more sectors in view, and it's plausible that this plateau is in a vast desert
Does it look too flat?
It looks better from the ground

Perhaps I should add some dunes.
