Wildweasel and DBT, that's quite the genius advice and most enlightening I've heard yet. Very sound, very thorough and for sure I'm going to have to take it for a test drive in a slaughterfest map... Heh, I've got HolyHell on my mind, following HRII.

Anyway, work on the "Cultist" acidic slag cannon is underway now!

...FINALLY... I've almost gotten this bad boy done. I'll be uploading a video as soon as I can. Bloody college work has been keeping me busy... I've got to create a 10-page game design document to turn in tomorrow, and an assignment that's due at midnight today. Hopefully they won't take long, so I can get a video recorded and posted on youtube for those of you rather anxiously hoping that this WIP isn't dying out on you all.

That exploding barrel gun definitely gave me a good laugh watching it. Some fun look weapons I've seen so far. keep up the work. :)

Sadly, I didn't have the alt-fire completed entirely so I decided to leave it out rather than showcase a half-working feature.

Haha, well, it's not so much of a nuke as it is a radiation bomb... though I must say I did a lot to ensure the effects won't miss out. Thanks Eriance!

I've finalized the alt-fire plans... It's going to be a massive radioactive mini-imp summoner. You can make a whole army out of them! The only problem is, they eat your ammo... and gibs... and wind up farting some toxic nerve gas.

By "eating your ammo" you mean the pickups strewn throughout the level, or the ammo you're currently carrying?

And eating gibs doesn't seem like a problem per se... less headaches when the Arch-Viles show up :)

It just costs a lot to spawn them, that's all. When I talk about gibs, I mean the little chunkies that are thrown everywhere. Archviles won't really have the ability to resurrect anybody. Instead, they will have increased attack speeds to make up for it.

Let me say this though, that nerve gas is deadly useful being on your side, because it'll wipe out a pack of archviles in seconds. :mrgreen:

Holy crap, what a terrible week this has been... I got very little progress done due to sheer numbers of responsibility going on involving college works. Rest assured though, I've got my plans laid out, so I'm going to put the cultist alt-fire down here in a spoiler. Read at your own risk. :P

Guess what laddies? It's... BAAAAAACK! (in development)

Unfortunately I don't have any proof at the moment as youtube is acting like a piece of shit, but I can tell you at least what's going down.

  • Revival time! - Finally, with AEons of Death on the verge of release, I'll be back to swinging at this baby with both hands untied and the feeling unleashed! Yeah, I've been quite dedicated to getting that going first. It was damn well worth it because I have even greater plans for this mod now!
  • The sticky shit! - Last I left off, we had the cultist cannon which, while I admit was something intended, it wasn't fully done as planned. Now it will be. Paste 'em with a wall of goup then use Angel Fire or Dark Ice for different ways to 'splodin' town! Or just let it self-destruct by itself. WOOHOO!
  • Satellites and Astronauts and Rockets and Laser Beams, oh man what else? Plenty.
  • Continuing the tradition! Wait what the fu- WHAT TRADITION!?

I've decided to add a few more weapons to the arsenal! Stay tuned later today as I plot and scheme them out, it will not be long before you hear of/see them!
