Doubtful, last I had heard was that he was working on the second in earnest, but Mr. Whittle has not seen fit to let anybody in this neck of the woods let us know that he still exists. Of course, EDGE being in flux as it's been for the last who knows how long probably has quite a bit to do with that.

Come to think of it, does anybody know if DC1 still works on the newest version of EDGE?

don's challenge 2 was once released for early versions of zdoom around the same time immoral conduct was released as action doom (also for zdoom). no one appears to have the former wad these days.

The smoother weapon anim mod is an awesome permanent addition to my game loadup.

The great Bicycle mystery 2

http://www.doomworld.com/idgames/index.php?id=15818

I've played the first one, it was a really hard slaughter set. This is apparently an updated version with more maps, improved versions of the first bmystery.wad maps, and more appropriate difficulty levels.

The "Dickie" series by Richard Wiles

Awesome oldskool maps, I made a PK3 containing all of them so they'd run in sequence. MAP08 has a nasty trick involving the Yellow key, hit some switches and look around before trying to get it.

One can't bump a sticky, and in a thread like this resurrections aren't actually an issue. No need to worry.

Don't worry, Rodrigo, you're good. My threshold for getting pissed off at bumps is more than a month, and as IB mentioned, you can't really bump stickies.

It was certainly missed by me, thanks! It seems kinda neat so far, although I did run across an awful glitch in one part of a map.

...did the creator of that mod really have to put in a bazillion tiny variations of the monsters' death sounds for a ninety-five megabyte download? @_@;

Pretty fun though. Not sure why the shotgun has a sighting mode but it plays really well.
(Was gonna say something about finally having decent anonymous mooks who happen to be women but then I finally took a careful listen as to what the "yellow Crash" character was saying @_@ That and basically all the dialogue sounds like it's being said to a dude...)
(and LOL wtf is wrong with the "SL5" guy)

Is it really that bad that I found this mod mildly cathartic after reading like the 5th police brutality story in the news this week? [EDIT: Not necessarily the fifth.]
(EDIT2: Though I suppose you can just as easily explain the cop dialogue as the zombies being the enforcers of a governmental regime set up by the invading demons, which bears no moral legitimacy but its enforcers rationalize as being valid as any other. But that assumes quite a bit of backstory that I'm probably lifting off of other mods...)

Since I missed it the first time around:

Temple of the Lizard Men 2

Don't be fooled by the intro into thinking it's an attempt at replicating Unreal gameplay - it is so much more than that. No Uncanny Valley-inducing horrors or Kikia-type popup scares or anything, but damn this thing had me freaking the hell out - the pacing is excellent while keeping the setpieces still flexible enough to play like Doom.

Doom - World Carnage League

It's only a demo, but pretty neat. It's a combination of fps & racing game. You run around the track, get onto blue boost pads, avoid red reverse pads, get time, health, armor, and ammo pickups, all the while shooting imps as you go. Kill enough imps in a certain timeframe, and your attack speed increases for a short while. Winning requires you to balance between shooting as many imps as possible, and going through the track as fast as you can.
