I told her that she could vent on me if she ever needed to, but I don't know if I can listen to this.

Making some progress.... I made some stone pickaxes and now have lots and lots of stone in case I ever need to make more stone tools. Next project is a couple furnaces I can take with me and plop down on other lands. I still need way more wood though, but I'll collect it by travelling around instead of replanting trees al the time. I just gotta take enough with me so I can make a place where I can hide out at night. That, and find some damn COAL already!

My case fans came in today. Busted out my fan controlled and screwed the fans in. AMAZINGLY quiet, even at the highest speed. I may put in some more, since it doesn't seem like it's cooling that much more, but every little bit helps for now.

Work related: Got a photo from one of our new clients that we're currently doing an install on. They've set up our system with a sixteen monitor setup; two rows of 8 monitors, for a wide, wide screen. Each monitor is running 2048 x 1024. It's actually set up as a four "virtual" monitor setup with specialized video hardware being used to split each "virtual" monitor among four actual monitors.

It's an impressive sight.

Right now, she has a choice not to go down that road. Once she has, it'll be really hard for her to come out of it. Is this really the kind of thing she wants to do?

And I've pretty much been where you are. A good friend of mine was in the middle of a downward spiral (was in it when I met her, actually), and I tried to help her get out of it, but I said some things I shouldn't've. Now's she's been ignoring me, and she's in an "open" relationship with a guitarist (meaning she's his guaranteed score, nothing else), and when he drops her, she pretty much has nothing.
