Video problem - White glitches on Ati Radeon 8500

Hi all, I have this problem: With the last version (zdoom 2.3.1) When I load doom or doom 2, in the main menu, there is white "glitches" or video errors, they are like white spots among the images (even in game). I Tried changing the resolution, editing the .ini file, but the problem is still there. I looked for in the forum somebody with the same problem . This problem is not present using zdoom 2.2.0, only with the new version.

Video card: Ati Radeon 8500
SO: Windows 2000 SP4 rollout

Can Anyone help with this? ... thanks for advance

ATI? Have you tried updating your Catalyst drivers? I don't get it in 9.4.

Secondly, if you want to temporarily alleviate this problem, see if "vid_forceddraw true" works from the console - you will have to reset ZDoom for it to take effect, though.

Still, it would probably help greatly if you found out the cause of this problem - it might help others, and you would be able to continue taking advantage of 2D acceleration while using ZDoom - which does make some difference.

But eh, up to you I guess... this might get [Not ZDoom]'ed without a response.

It's a little late, but this should be fixed in revision 1901. 2.3.0 was missing some code that was present in 2.2.0, because I thought I didn't need it anymore, but it looks like I was wrong.

I would have addressed this sooner, but I didn't want to go through the trouble of reinstalling the Radeon 9000 in my machine for just one little thing, so I held off until now, when it ended up filling the role of backup video card while I wait to get a new main video card.
