r2145 Massive explosion knockback

Post by Enjay »

Start a game, give yourself the rocket launcher, switch on god mode (optional), walk up to a wall, fire at the wall.

If you do the above, you will be moved very quickly to another part of the map, sometimes even passing through walls. It seems to happen with all explosions, not just the RL.

(heh, I just tried it with noclip and ended up at the furthest flung point on the map)

I'd guess it's from 2143. There's a FLOAT2FIXED macro added to calculations where there weren't before. That makes the thrust 65536 times as powerful as before. :P

Well, that actually sorta "fixed" something... the problem of high-speed projectiles exploding beyond South or West linedefs from point-blank range. Too bad about the wild ride though.
