Doom: Rampage Edition

But for real, Super Sonic Doom, Action Doom, ZDCMP, TNT:the whole series, Zen Dynamics, and...
That's it.

Deathz0r, what is the deal with this wad? I finally took a look, downloaded instactn.wad. What I see is some exhaustive decorate, dehacked and acs work. What I didn't find is any sense to the gameplay. All I could do was keep running around the structure, trying to get things to infight and killing as much as I could before inevitably running out of ammo or health. There seemed to be nowhere to go, no objective to win. Have I missed something?

Isntactn.wad? That sounds a lot like the Instant Action thing that's in DO-TIMS. There's actually a whole lot more to it, but it sounds like what you downloaded was only a teaser or something similiar that's only a fraction of what the wad really is. Surely, all you have to do is ask deathz0r for a beta, seeing as he gives them to us all the time in #dmclub.

Sounds good, how about a link for dl or a copy? I'd like to see it.

Well, it's an aquired taste I suppose. The mod is mainly for people that experienced the old days of arcade gaming with titles like Contra.

BTW, there's no decorate work in AD, it's all Dehacked. (well, maybe SOME, I never checked but I know Scuba made it with dehacked and then Cyb might have done some additional Decorate work)

The Box Slug was DECORATE, that I do know.

I love Contra. Doesn't mean that I want to play it in Doom. Nesticle for the win.

I found AD to be less frustrating than a lot of WAD's: There's no hitscan enemies to ruin your day.

Of course not, it's from Australia. Nothing from Australia makes any sense. That doesn't mean it's bad though . . .
I thought Massmouth was good though a little too hard, particularly the sequel. Daedalus: Too fucking cryptic. I spent at least three times as much time being stuck than I did actually moving along and playing. The KDIZD leak doesn't seem to be much different. :?
