TiMidity music in Windows ZDoom?

What is the current status of the Windows version of ZDoom supporting TiMidity++? I quote a message in the older news section, from 13 October 2001:

I believe my version of Win32 ZDoom is 2.0.45 or something, and it says "ZDoom requires a special version of TiMidity++" when I set timidity_exe to the TiMidity++ Windows console player by Masanao Izumo.
Can anyone tell me where to find such a special version of TiMidity++, if there is one available?

The ZDoom download section should contain a timidity pack suited for it.

ZDoom needs a special version of Timidity under Windows so that it has some way to tell Timidity to quit.

Timidity++ is a software MIDI synthesizer. Some people claim it makes Doom sound better.

Well uh the patches for (Linux) Timidity make most MIDIs sound like crap, especially those with beats, etc. Exactly the opposite of the cool DLS set in DirectMusic.
