Oh.. there is? Well the one with the woman at the end and the kiss. I've only ever completed it once. How do you get the others? Unless you mean dying at the last boss, which pretty much counts as an ending I guess (a very grim ending too).edward850 wrote:Which one? Best victory: don't trust the Oracle, then win.Cutmanmike wrote:Oh.. there is? Well the one with the woman at the end and the kiss. I've only ever completed it once. How do you get the others? Worst victory: trust the Oracle, then win.
Defeat: get killed by the Entity.
Re: IWADs
You can still get it but i cannot give you the links to it since it qualifies as WAREZ!!!Project Dark Fox wrote:Not going to happen. They haven't considered their software as abandonware yet so you won't be receiving any links any time soon.
You can search Amazon and get games for dirt cheap, though. I got a physical copy of Strife for a few dollars, and another of Hexen, also for only a few dollars (literally about 3.50 USD).

The difference in the two game completion endings revolves around Blackbird, if you must know.Gez wrote:Best victory: don't trust the Oracle, then win.Cutmanmike wrote:Oh.. there is? Re: IWADs
There is no official legal status, so "abandonware" indeed means nothing. Technically, true abandonware would be stuff that has fallen into public domain after expiration of its copyright. In the USA, since the Mickey Mouse Protection Act, this means 70 years after author's death for personal authorship; or for 120 years after creation/95 years after publication for corporate authorship. The Unmaker wrote:Eh?Grimm wrote:"Abandonware" means nothing.
This means that Strife will be effectively abandonware in 2091. You can wait that long, can't you? Of course, by that time, there will be no remaining computer able to make it work (because the computers of that time will be even less compatible with DOS than Windows Vista is with ZX81 software) and no remaining copy of it anywhere anyway.
