What's in your skins directory?

I just discovered the trick of putting a wad into your skins directory to have it auto-load on starting Zdoom, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. So far, aside from the skins, I've got:

- Nash's gore mod

- A self-made wad that corrects the blood colors, adds terrain splashes to liquid flats, replaces the default plasma rifle sound with something more tolerable, and adds the 3D imp ball and plasma ball explosions from Zen Dynamics.

What have you got in yours?

Nash's gore mod and my Rambo skin, and a mod of my own that makes it so a player gets gibed like the zombies off Nash gore

Nothing. I use the proper way to autoload stuff (the autoload section in the .ini file.)

But why do you have the insane need to add more gore? You are sick!

Nash managed that using trickery.

Yeah, the floor "decals" on the blood splats are the primary reason why I have it installed, as well. I don't really overmuch care for the ZOMG GOAR.

I don't autoload anything. I don't see the point.

Um, actually, I haven't released the fake floor decal version yet. It's still on my hard disk. I'm not sure how I'm going to get around the coloured blood problem (models don't get colourized as blood sprites do).

Here's a screenshot of how it looks like:

http://nash.wanzafran.com/doomstuff/3dfloordecals.png (sorry for the huge filesize; I haven't installed any image editing programs yet as this rig is still very new and I haven't had time to sit down and configure my stuff)

BTW the old version is here:

Nash's Gore Mod can be found at http://forum.zdoom.org/potato.php?t=115 ... s+gore+mod

No 3-d floor decals in that version, though.

Hmmm... lessee

4 skins files

Blood Bath Announcer sound file

Extra crosshairs

A flashlight mod bound to a key - GZdoom only

Lights.wad (my own tweak of it) - GZdoom only

For some reason I load my splash wad via the autoload (probably to stop the graphics clashing with Heretic/Hexen ones). Graf is, of course, right. The correct way to load this stuff is via the autoload section. I may well go away and edit my ini and skins directory right now to sort that out.

Oh, and in my old Zdoom 1.22 directory I still have a file called zvox.wad which is also autoloaded by Zdoom. I think the original intention was for that file to allow voice support for the various gender/voice types - which is what I use it for.

Well Edward, I make that graphic for your map you haven't even started working on and then you insult me. Tsk tsk. What a shame. I know the floor decal one hasn't been released. I was talking about the released version. Now, if you apologize I might consider letting you remain in my thoughts as a person instead of a complete moron, but I doubt it.

EDIT:
Anyway, Electronic Samurai can you put up your self-made wad? It sounds interesting.
