I'm making some alien/hellish "pod" species to my mod, and for some species I want they to produce fruits/seeds in certain situations. I need sprites of 'things' that could look like propagules of those life forms. It could be sprites from other games or custom artworks, any help or sugestion will be apreciated.

These fruits will look small in game (like an imp's head or smaller), so small sprites will be ok. It'll be preferable that they have some animation, I mean, not just one single sprite, because It'd be better for they to move/bounce/roll when droped by the pods or shoot by players. It'd also be nice if they have some death sprites, because some will be eaten by criters in the game, but I could do death sequences myself too.

Looks like I have something here you might search for. I designed some pods m'self for Tristania 2 as explaination for origin of the Diadrons. They're best when set to be transparent to some degree.
The first pod is un-animated, the other three are animated pods. If you want'em, I can upload the whole set for ya.

Woa, they are nice, specially this creepy skull pod. :o

But I'm using more low-res grx in the mod, they would not fit with the other stuff I'm using.

Don't know if this is any use to you (the skull is huge compared to the Doom marine). Just 20 minutes of doodling and palette swapping. Feel free to use or ignore as you see fit.

I understand :) That skull-like pod looks nice even in paletted.
It was designed to be a Maggot nest for the Mist level.

Well, Ravick, and how do you feel about these? No pink elephants, just 256-color paletted graphics, the last two are animated for ya.
(Those spinning spikes are projectiles in real, but hell, who cares)

Yep :) These stuff look exactly like monster pods, and since Tyrian is paletted, it was a good idea to screw around a bit for low-res useful graphics.
