Before posting your Resource, please make sure you can answer YES to any of the following questions:
  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Consult the Resource/Request Posting Guidelines for more information.

Please don't put requests here! They have their own forum --> here. Thank you!

[Map] Containment / Creepmod

Map01: Creepmod / Containment
____________________________________________________________________

I don't map often, but the ideas that I usually pull off come out somewhat nicely. This map in particular was an invasion map that I created in a timespan of 1-2 days on and off.

When I started making this map, I wanted to try something with a scary ambient feel to it. After just playing The Ghoul's Forest 3, I decided it was time to try something of my own. I started with some dark hallways and black fog, some lights, and then a few custom monsters here and there. The map was originally a cooperative map, designed for single-player with no real intention in mind. The player would simply explore the map through the various "scary" events, then hit the exit switch. I felt that this map was one of my worst ideas, so I tried fiddling with some invasion spawners. The map looked like a success, and I have a great time playing it by myself. The hallways are long, and the spawn spots varying. You never know where they'll spawn next! "Creepmod" was a name I originally chose for the map, but for some reason I kept the name and called the map something completely different. Technically, the map really doesn't even have a name and it really doesn't count as a "resource". If you want to take the map and completely alter it to your own liking, feel free to repost it somewhere. Just remember to give credit.

Aside from the map story, I have three screenshots that I'll post and a video that I created for the map. OpenGL mode is almost mandatory for playing this map, since you'll probably seem like some sort of blind marine in Software mode. All credits for used sounds go to the SCP: Containment Breach team. These sounds consist mainly of the door sounds, Hall Stalker sounds, and the music.
Spoiler: Spoilered screenshots.

Download Link (I uploaded it to my Dropbox just in case the min.us link fails, just because I'm that nice. 8-) )

Mods can move it if they see fit. I was thinking about posting it there, but I thought here would be the best place. I don't mind if it gets moved. :)

EDIT: I still have the original cooperative map, and some of the monsters are even included with the invasion map. (Like "AmmoImp" and "Head1Monster". I think those are the names.) I can post it if you'd like, but it's probably obsolete and missing features.
