I agree with that. The D64 arachnotron looks very cool IMO. Unfortunately I always thought its death sequence looked a bit odd.

Yeah, its too symmetrical. Just flops down, and that's it. But then their modelling tools weren't as advenced as what we have now.
A shame they were passed over for 3. Just imagine more agile versions of those things hopping up walls and crawling around to get a better shot at you :shock:

Saddest part is that they almost did put them in, and in one of the only monster redesigns that I didn't think looked stupid beyond belief.

I still like the original Mastermind/Arachnotron better than the D64 version!
The desgin is definitely not bad, but it looks too smooth and the 6 legs makes it look boxy to me. I don't know, IMO the original version just has a lot more character... if that makes any sense.

Male and female aren't genders anyway. They're sexes. The corresponding genders are masculine and feminine.

All the Doom 64 Death and ex-death animations look kinda whack and done without putting int too much effort. The motherdemon, especially.

in fact, not very complete, but I found it in my cd before my computer crashes :(
but here it is.
divided into some folders.
FIRE SKY AND BONUS (complete) : DOOM 64 FIRE BACKGROUND (BONUS A PSX DOOM FIRE SKY)
INCOMPLETE THINGS : SOME INCOMPLETE SPRITES
SPRITES (partially complete, 97% ) :attacks, decorations and etc - also the monsters compilation ; doom 64 originals, the doom 64 tc absolutions, and customs monsters.
TILESET (complete, and bonus) : FLATS AND TEXTURES , also a custom tileset.
I hope that you like, so it's beta version, that is partially complete.
