Before posting your Resource, please make sure you can answer YES to any of the following questions:
  • Is the resource ENTIRELY my own work?
  • If no to the previous one, do I have permission from the original author?
  • If no to the previous one, did I put a reasonable amount of work into the resource myself, such that the changes are noticeably different from the source that I could take credit for them?
If you answered no to all three, maybe you should consider taking your stuff somewhere other than the Resources forum.

Consult the Resource/Request Posting Guidelines for more information.

Please don't put requests here! They have their own forum --> here. Thank you!

Using PJ64's texture dump should do the trick. The titlepic is divided into 328x6 pieces so you'll have to reconstruct it. While the music and cutscenes are easily ripped from the Saturn version you'll probably have to record the sounds within an emulator.

There's a music pack of the Nintendo 64 version of the soundtrack in the "Hexen Mods" section of this site: http://acidglow.lithfaq.com/
It's set up for JDoom but with a bit of adaptation you can make it work for ZDoom also.

I know that with zdoom possible to insert picture before level loaded, you must press a key.
P.S. Wow Hexen on Playstation. Light sectors can affect part of sprites.

Interesting indeed. Some nice research here. The partially lit sprite is a surprise.

Raven Software on facebook uploaded some hexen stuff

Here are a few pieces of original artwork done back in 1994/95 for Heretic and Hexen by Raven's studio head Brian Raffel.

We've recently been talking about some of our early games here at Raven - how many remember Hexen, Heretic, or our very first game Black Crypt?
