Yeah I can't wait, surely you'll do better just like the awesome piece of art you did on the first post, that must have required some mad Blender skills, because these sprites looks just like 3D models...
It looks good enough to me, good luck in your endeavor.

I used part of the Jaguar machinegun for the sake of authenticity

Thanks to trevor0402 and the custom MP40 Weapon on Realm667. I've brought these weapons into DooM 2 as decorate weapons i'll post some screenshots of them later, They also have the wolfenstein 3d sound effects as well.

Osjclatchford,
I've decided to rearrange your chaingun again but soon you will understand why.

What you probably didn't like about the flamethrower was the shading, since the botton was probably taken from the mac machinegun and extended a bit (which is in lower detail than the Jaguar Flamethrower that consists of the upper half). But honestly yours looks worse because, despite both sprites coming from the same source (Jaguar), the way you've put them together just don't quite mix well because the difference in tone between the black piece and the flamethrower makes it looking more like a gasoline fuel filler than a weapon.

Still, It's easier to somehow piece stuff together than to shade a sprite (I'm no pixel artist, I only get by) and maybe trying to somehow use another Jaguar sprite might yield something a bit more consistent. I changed the brigtness and did a mirror "magic" to match the top half tone and ajusted with the sleeve, and now I'll have to agree it could indeed be improved, I just didn't have ideas.

My redesign:

and a preview (the gif compression turned the little animated flame grey, but it's alright on the actual sprites):

Edit: Another alternative, sleeveless and one less tube

*minor edit on the last one

Now that looks nice, but I suggest removing the tubes entirely. They looked out of place to begin with and when extended they look even worse.

I like it with the tube, It looks too much like a machinegun or something without it.

What do you mean "when extended"?

Agreed, that's why I kept at least one.

Maybe you could recolor the tube to make it look like a hose instead.

Taking my time, I have a prototype of something working already but I'm learning things at the same time (ECWolf related).
Also, glad you liked my sprites

Nice. :)

About the chaingun thing I said earlier, I changed the chaingun with less exposure of barrels on the botton again because I thought it would resemble the classic one better - you can see a direct comparison on this new thread I created:
http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=51005
I may change it later but for now that's the one I settled with.

I'm posting an updated sheet of sprites with the pickups I made and the HUD weapons on the thread.

A few changes:
* New knife pickup sprite (pretty cool huh? Shame it's not very useful  )
* Updated Luger pickup sprite
* Fixed top of MP40 pickup sprite
* Added little tube under the handle on the Flamethrower pickup to resemble the HUD sprite
* Added 2 frames on the rocket launcher
