I'll pitch in, slow at mapping, but skilled enough to make a nice detailed room or 2 in 24 h :D

I'm on the list? What am I adding?

It'd be a waste to add the monster resource wad to the project because:

A) It's over five megs so far
B) If the monsters from the wad are used, a simple note (IE: "Requires the Monster Resource Wad") can be attached.

I'd love to see some of the monsters used though. =)

I will when my turn comes. But I agree: The monsters don't need to be added to the WAD until the map is finished.

Freely customizable. You can set it to whatever you want.

I'm not sure how far along it is, but I plan to release it to the archives of course. So far we have 31 monsters and it's just over 5 megs unzipped, and with 1800+ lumps it's starting to slow a little while saving, so I'm not sure how much bigger I want to let it be.

If anything, I'd enjoy making The Monster Resource Wad 2. ;)

Some of the mappers maybe don't have enough time or skill to add detail. And in the end, it would look damn ugly, if some rooms look plain and others are overdetailed. So far, it is allowed to spice up older rooms!

I think we should have to get permission from the person who made the rooms before we alter them.

How about adding a "if you don't want other people to alter your rooms, then don't join and start another community map with that as one of the rules instead" disclaimer?

Just a quick question: could I make the music for this wad? I have one here that I think would be perfect for it (although we might want to wait until the end to add it, so we don't increase the filesize too much).

Hey, it looks like I'm a little late to jump on this one. I'm helluva busy with other stuff ATM, but I would probably be able to crank out a room to be included in a level. I've had a hankering (do people really have "hankerings"?) to do a warehouse/ crate maze for some time now. I couldn't really think of anything to go with it. A crate maze on its own isn't much of a level. Any space for something like that in this WAD? Sounds like I could maybe make it compliment Xaser's tech base idea.
