Still doesn't look that great.

I don't know why that weapon sprite gets used so much, because it's not very good in my opinion.

EDIT: Although maybe for a Chex Quest mod...

It looks great in chex quest, maybe the original was from a chex mod, I haven't played all of them...

It's the original Skulltag BFG10K, I think it was one of Eriance's very early sprites.

Really? Eriance made it? Well he's defiantly improved.

I meant "definitely". I should REALLY check what word I click on the spell checker. :P

No, I wasn't made by me. The current black BFG-10k was the only weapon I've contributed to ST. o.o

Started seriously working on the Zapatista-esque guy. Managed to get his walking A-frames done, and the ground work for the B frames.

It should be a simple enough edit, but getting that stupid bandanna to look good in the animation (and consistent between angles) is proving to be a bit of a challenge.

According to Carnevil, it was by KickassAssassin. For some reason, the Bio-Mine Launcher (which uses the sprites) on R667 credits Xaser, however.

Xaser featured the weapon in at least one of his mods, I'm guessing they ripped it from there and were too lazy to check for any other credits.

Well, I sorta did the same thing back then. :P

But no, I had no hand in making the sprite, and I didn't modify it any for the mod.

Has anyone ever completed the Doom Darine Alpha sprite? The one where he has all 8 rotations? I never noticed the mirroring on the sprite until about 1997... :D

Tragos, I think JoeyTD did those, at some point.

Why did id remove those rotations in the final release? I mean, it's strange to decrease the quality of something when you already have quality stuff made. O_o

Probably so they would not have to have a fifth install disk. One extra floppy disk might not be expensive on its own, but for a game that would end up selling millions, that's millions more floppy disks they'd need to purchase in bulk to make install floppies. It adds up after a while.
