Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Useless. The perspective on them does not correspond to a frontal view like in Doom engine games.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
But its still a great site!
Just look the SystemShock Cyborg Elite (some anims seem missing but great preview hehee):
(Snip. This thread's for your own images only, not someone else's direct rips of things from games. You did not work on this yourself at all, therefore you do not get to post it in this thread. -mgmt)

Kaal this is a thread where you're supposed to post your own work, not ripped resources from some other game.
That stuff is more fitting in a Resource thread or something.

Also, we all know about that site. Posting stuff from there is quite redundant.

use your paint 'n' finger to prove your skills.
this thread is for custom doom skins and spritres. not for linked another game sprites.
find some doom sprites, and customize it, if you done, post it.
that will be work.
im new here, but still i know the laws.

The problem, Captain J, is that while you seem to understand English quite easily, Kaal may be using a translator, or worse, is just trolling us.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Not sure why but I've always hated the blue combat armour, I mean why blue for gods sake?
anyway this is my version of the combat armour pickup: Basically an edited from the 100% armour, a chaingunguy and doomguy's lid!
I've not done a lit-up bright image as I find this can be done buy simply using the bright command... (I do that on all amour pickups as it stops the irritating illusion of the 'pecks' moving up and down. YES, the armours dont seem to animate in superbright rooms or if you're right on them but who really cares?)
enjoy, or not

Why dayglow green for that matter?
Seriously though, it's a nice little sprite.

The mega armor gives you 200% and is blue.osjclatchford wrote:Not sure why but I've always hated the blue combat armour, I mean why blue for gods sake?
The soulsphere lets you reach 200% and is blue.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
in video games, blue has almost always been a symbolization for being a power-up, whereas green has been more of a standard item. that applies in Doom, as well, with the mega-armour being blue and the soulsphere being blue (as well as the health vials being blue). blue is an easily identifiable power-up icon is all.osjclatchford wrote:Not sure why but I've always hated the blue combat armour, I mean why blue for gods sake?
