[3553] Things on 3D floor/midtex spawn/respawn problems

Post by unknownna »

Image
  • Only the chaingun and health bonus actors on the right row spawn and respawn correctly.
  • All the things on the middle row spawn incorrectly, but respawn correctly (might be shifted down a few map units).
  • All the things on the left row spawn incorrectly, but only the chaingun and health bonus actors respawn correctly.
BTW: I'd like to hear what Randy has to say before anyone decides to close this report.

How about some *realistic* scenarios?

Ugh. Fixed, but this is pretty pathological.

Heh, it's starting to feel like this WAD is like the Acid test for web browsers - full of situations unlikely to occur in real projects but, rather, designed to trip the engine up. I'm not saying it shouldn't be done, I'm just saying. :P

The danger with trying to fix all this is that at some point you break something essential. As long as it works ok with realistic designs it's ok in my book. Trying to make this work at all costs is a waste of time at best.
