I took a short vacation from Aliens, and I have spent the entire day working on my Terminator side-project. I created all new sprites for the T-800. Moreover, I used parts of Sergeant_Mark_IV's decorate file, from a terminator he had scripted. When killed the terminator can explode into pieces. I had finished the T-800, and decided to make a small test map. Eventually that little map became a massive assault on a human bunker, by an army of Terminators. The tiny test map evolved into a battle in LA 2029 AD. Its pretty tough because the terminators have 1000 HP. But there are plenty of Marines, and Crash(s) to equalize the odds. Moreover, there is one friendly Terminator on your side. I think this map would probably be fun with a lot of people. I also would like to put in the HKs; I found a ripped sprite sheet from the arcade. However, I will not resume work on this for a while. I will return to working on the Aliens project, to produce levels and new textures. Nevertheless, please enjoy this WAD. It is a WIP, and there is no way to beat it. But I think it is fun, and is worth checking out.

They are looking good! Good work.

I'm wondering whats coming next. Maybe Predators, Robocop or Judge Dredd himself. ;)

Gotta love those characters, really.

I think it would be awesome do to Aliens vs Predator vs Terminator vs Robocop. They have all faced each other in the comics and games. Robocop could be the protagonist. It could be gory like the original robocop, and try to embody its character. After the 32-level aliens wad, we should do it.

Moreover, I would make this the title song

Yea, unfortunately, the sheer amount of decorate items from the skulls and junk piles are effecting performance on slower PCs. Its a slide show on my lower-end PC, even with all of the graphics at a minimum.

Then at least provide a version without all the small items in large quantities.

Holy molly woolly :D For a demo it's really good :)

The map you choose for the demo is perfect :) I really had the feeling i was in the future in a war between the humans and the machines.

Even if my Terminator mod is kinda ... terminated if somebody has the talent to make improvements to it it's you :D So feel free to take whatever you need from my terminator mod.

I tested this demo 3 ways,

1 - With the poor regular doomguy, needless to say i got overwhelmed pretty quickly. I felt like an insect waiting to be crushed :P
2 - With my already old Terminator mod, really fun but i figured i needed to test it with a character a bit less invincible but still can kick asses
3 - Yep you guessed it, i played it with my Predator mod. It was heaven for a predator, the map represent a very good challenge without being a bitch but can still kill the Predator really quickly if not careful

I got a weird idea while playing this demo with my predator mod ... Imagine a predator crash-landed on Earth after Skynet started the war against humans ... what a hunting ground don't you think lol New metallic trophies along with human skulls make perfect decorations above the fireplace don't you think :P

Also imagine the chaos it could become if aliens are added to this scenario as well :P

You know what? I think you could add this map as a secret level in your 32 maps project or any other projects you might have :D

Note : There is a bug but nothing really serious. The sounds effects after firing are sometimes delayed or muted. My guess is it's because there is already many sounds effects in the map (the terminators when they walk and when they are destroyed, small fires all over the map having their own sounds) But as i said it's nothing serious and besides it could be due to a conflicting sound file of your mod trying to replace an already custom sound file in the mods i used to play it. So don't worry to much about it.

Looks like you have lots of projects in your sleeves at the moment with lots of ideas :) Keep it up my friend but don't forget to sleep ;)

That's an amazing idea.

imagine Alien vs Predator vs Terminator 2: Judgement Day. It could be a sequel to the first one, but this time from the Predator's perspective. Moreover, this one will be gory as well. I would build the levels and balance them specifically to get the best game play out of the predator.pk3. But I would make this a totally separate project of its own.

Always though about that. What a slugfest. Although i think the Predator would prefer to stalk and kill human soldiers, as most Skynet's machines A.I. are stupid. Even a T-800 would be no match to a Predator.

And KK, remember that i'm always your man-at-arms ;)

Do you think such project could be brutalized? Could be hard because terminators are machines and not much gore can be applied to them but maybe replacing the blood with some kind of electric sparks or something like that could be done.

But one thing at a time as my old mother would say :lol:

I think i'll resume my modifications on my Predator mod and change a few things that could improve the gameplay. I'm a bit rusty but it should come back to me quickly :lol:

Endless123, try the map from the Colonial Marine perspective ;) There is a download link to the latest Colonial Marines weapon pack in our Aliens project thread, at page 27 if i remember it right. I think you will have some fun too!
