So the name should tell us everything about it. I started to create the DOME map from CAll of Duty Modern Warfare 3 just for fun.
It is just a concept and it can´t be cloned exactly, I will try to make it as exact as I can, with some extras like the road, where Voxel-Style tanks are driving along.


INFORMATION: After along time of not having any working PC, I upgraded my Hardware to a 6-core AMD with powerful Sapphire GFX Card and RAM. Modding Doom will finally never be as painful as it was before!


Voxel things I used can be found from this awesome guy:

I also use Brutal doom lite for gore effects. The map is meant to be played in multiplayer of course.
At the moment I play with Friendly/unfriendly Bots a fake Team-Deathmatch

At the moment, nothing is done by me except of the map layout and the music. Textures are all originals(doom2). Weapons can all be found on Realm667 website.

There´s still a lot of work to do but is already makes fun.

the first minute can be skipped due to bad camera view but it gets a bit better then. (I´m missing some good Hard-and software for better videos)

UPDATE: DOME Version 1.0 (tested with Zandronum Version 1.3)

ZANDRONUM does now support everything that is needed to run this map. Remember:This is a demo of the current Map layout progress it is NOT finished !

Zandronum still does not seem to support Voxels....

That means that the voxel vechicles (Tanks and Cars) are missing

Yes I already changed some things in the map but I have a problem I need to get fixed:

I need a 3d Floor with the following Effects:

- The 3d floor blocks players but NOT projectiles/Missiles.That means: You you can shoot through it, but you cant walk through it.

Any idea?

I myself do not have any idea how to do that, but I do know there are windows in DOOM that can be shot through, but not jumped through. Try looking at those.
