Version 3.

Spoiler: List of changes
For episode 3, I was thinking of a ice and fire theme, but I'm not exactly sure if I want to because the theme has been done to death, should I go with this theme or does anybody else have any bizarre ideas? :)

with as surreal as everything else, im surprised the weapons aren't surreal in their own right

fits with zharkov tho

if you do wanna do a fire and ice theme, take it to the extremees. like essentially a world of lava and fire, and a huge frozen ice world

I might. :P

Also, right now I have a very small amount of icy/snowy textures, I may have to put a resource request thread for that if I can't find any.

But for now:

More lava. Seriously. Just...more lava. It looks like too much ice now, IMO. I think nicely-blending (i.e. colours) ice paths and lava surroundings, then frozen canyon walls would work pretty well.

DLed. Wow. You got the title of the damn thing right.
It's wierd, but in a good way. However, I did run out of ammo on map two, in the long courtyard area where all the mini-demons jump you after you grab the key. Other than that, and being kinda mind-buggering, this thing is pretty good.

Nice work! Keep it up.

Using ZDoom r3248 I got a fatal crash:

Code: Select all

Execution could not continue.
Could not malloc 600 bytes.
It happened right after I got the SSG and fired it the first time.

That's strange. 0_o I really have no clue what would cause that, did you get that more than once?

As a matter of interest, why are you using a version of ZDoom that is so old? (Current revision is 3862 and the last official version was revision 3794.)

Well, I hadn't updated my revision in a while (been a while since I played anything ZDoom-related), so I just found myself playing it with the one currently sitting on my HDD.

I updated shortly after that post, and it played flawlessly. So yeah, I consider that bug report completely useless. :P

This is just the kind of mod I like to play. Very creative, flows well, good balance, nice detailing, inovative but keeping tradicional gameplay. I played only the first map tonight, but I´ll certainly finish this one.

First I find out about Void and Foreverhood, then I see this. Damn it, I thought I was the only one making a trippy WAD. But then again, the one I'm working on feels completely different from those mentioned. Maybe I could lend you some monsters that I couldn't find an excuse for because the WAD is still shackled by story.
